Currently still sick with the flu & cold my work on loonar.net has not progressed as much as I was hoping. However, I am thinking sometime next week things should be looking good. I need to make a few adjustments and spice things up a bit; but other than that, it’s one of the few sites that I have made for myself that I am pleased with.

The Layout

The layout has always been my unsatisfying problem. It’s just like technology; everyday something newer and better comes out. Yes… I could have went flash, I could have made it more animated… but this was not my goal ever for my own website. My website is soley for potential clients and existing clients to see the quality of work I have done and what I can offer them. I believe if it was to artsy it will take more away from the content at hand. I still feel that my layout offers a simplistic pleasing touch to the eye.

I have now been doing web design for about 4 and a half years. There is a sense of accomplishment when I create a website for someone to know that is what they wanted and that I am pleased with the work I gave them. It is very frustrating for me to lower my quality of work for someone. I will explain.

Green Harmony (http://green-harmony.us)

Green Harmony came to me through a client who was wanting a re-design on their existign website. After seeing their website, I knew they would be very pleased with my work I could offer them. After attempting to move them into the new age of web design they were very stubborn about change to this whole new style of how everyone designs now adays. Ultimately and unfortunately our possible job opportunity was no more. The guy decided to re-design the website himself (see the link above). You can only imagine how bad the site was before; actually it did not look too much different! This guy has no clue what a website should look like and no one will take someone seriously enough to buy something of his website if it does not look like it is successful, do they?

My Point

My point is; I offer only quality results from quality expectations. I will try to explain to a client if I feel they might want to go a different direction. The client is the number one priority in making happy in any transaction, but if the person/business is un-willing to change for the better and does not want quality work they will have to unfortunately look else where. The reason being is because I stand by my work. I do not want to have a reputation for some okay websites, some good websites,  and a few great websites. I want to be know for Great Websites.
